Stop 1 - Fisherman's Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf is the home of San Francisco's fishing fleet. The old factories and warehouses that once dotted the wharf have been converted to great shops and restaurants.

POINTS OF INTEREST AT THIS STOP
The Cannery at Del Monte Square (shops and restaurants), Ghirardelli Square (a chocolate lover's paradise, great shops and restaurants), San Francisco Maritime Historic Park at Hyde Street Pier and Aquatic Park, the famous cable cars on Hyde Street hill.

Points of interest en route to the Golden Gate Bridge:
Marina District, Palace of Fine Arts, and Presidio National Park.

The Golden Gate Bridge is recognized as San Francisco's most famous landmark. When it was built in 1937, it was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world. Enjoy great views of San Francisco's skyline, Alcatraz Island, and the span of the bridge over the entrance to San Francisco Bay.

POINTS OF INTEREST AT THIS STOP

This stop is the entrance to Golden Gate Park and is walking distance to the De Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Japanese Tea Garden.

Points of interest en route to Union Square:
Pause at Alamo Square and gawk at San Francisco's Victorian homes, also called painted ladies because of their ornate gingerbread work and attractive facades. Creating a scenic foreground for the downtown skyline, this is one of the most photographed group of Victorian homes in San Francisco. Seen on many TV shows and movies.

Also take in San Francisco's City Hall, the War Memorial Opera House ( where the United Nations Charter was signed), and Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall.
