Bryce Canyon National Park Bryce Canyon National Park is located in southwestern Utah. Bryce is reknown for its colorful hoodoos, geologic features formed by wind, water and ice erosion of sedimentary rocks. The vibrant colors of the hoodoos are due to the oxidation of various elements (such as sulfur, iron, and magnesium) found in the rocks. The rim of Bryce Canyon varies from 8,000-9,000 ft (2,400-2,700m). Due to its remote location Bryce receives relatively few visitors compared neighboring parks. |
