Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge could be the most recognizable bridge in the world. Painted International Orange, the Golden Gate Bridge is named because it spans the opening of the San Francisco Bay which Captain James Fremont called the Golden Gate. When completed in 1937 it was the longest single span bridge in the world. Connecting San Francisco with the Marin Headlands, the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the highlights on the Muir Woods and Wine Country tours.
